Lawn Maintenance

Law's Quality Services is eagerly seeking to hire Grounds Maintenance Worker.

PURPOSE:

Under the direction of the Owner, the Grounds Maintenance Worker is responsible for the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds surrounding a business or building. Plants flowers, mows, pulls weeds, repairs structures, and maintains outside of building.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties.

· Mow lawn either by hand or using a riding lawnmower.

· Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls.

· Landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.

· Apply pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitoes, wasps, ticks, and others.

· Apply fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.

· Perform routine maintenance duties such as repairs, applying plaster, painting, and other duties.

· Sweep walkway of debris.

· Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.

· Trim shrubs and pull weeds.

· Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.

· Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed.

· Water plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.

· Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills and Abilities:

o General grounds maintenance experience including experience with power and manual equipment for lawn cutting.

o General knowledge of tools and equipment normally used in Grounds maintenance, including mowers, tractors, trucks, trimmers, rakes, shovels, as well as non-powered hand tools.

o Ability to handle physical workloads

PREFERRED

Education and Experience:

o High school Diploma or GED.

o Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

· Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

· Must be able to communicate and interact in a professional and courteous manner.

· Must follow all Safety Rules and Requirements.

· Practice good personal hygiene.

· Must be willing to work weekends, and holidays as deemed necessary by Manager.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Holidays
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
