Yard Supervisor

Lawn Butler is currently hiring for a yard supervisor.

Typical duties include:

1. Be able to manage oneself with little supervision

2. Keep yard area organized and neat all trash picked up etc.

3. Handle all deliveries to the facility and coordinate with other personnel on scheduling those deliveries

4. Keep nursery area and tree areas organized by stock and upcoming jobs

5. Pull any plants and material for jobs as directed by production supervisors

6. Ensue all plants are watered appropriately

7. Inspect irrigation for clogged nozzles or breaks weekly

8. Keep all debris organized and ground/screened ensure drivers are putting debris in proper locations

9. Work with facilities manager to continue to evolve the yard as needed to handle growth

10. Be involved in safety meetings to teach crews where stuff goes and to help coach them in that direction continually

11. Be able to operate various equipment as needed

12. Basic mechanical understanding of equipment to properly take care of it as well as change attachments as needed.

13. Do basic facilities maintenance as needed

14. Keep all onsite bulk materials ordered and stocked to appropriate levels.

15. Coordinate with various departments about upcoming projects in order to anticipate any additional needs

16. Fill propane tanks as needed

17. Fill 2 cycle as needed

18. Change and sharpen mower blades

19. Any additional tasks as assigned by manager

Ideal Qualities:

Candidate would be a self-starter that has a background in the landscape or farming industry. Someone that has a personality directed toward order and a desire to coach and teach. A good communicator that is able to take direction from multiple sources and prioritize that to best accomplish the needed goals. Someone that can deal with highly varied tasks and prioritize for the best possible outcome. Someone that likes to take ownership of their area and add value.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
