What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at Lawton Standard?
Northern Iron and Machine is looking for Machinist! We are under new ownership, and a part of the Lawton Standard family of foundries. If you are an experienced Machinist, we have a great opportunity for you!
Pay:
- Starting pay is $24 - $28 per hour (depending on experience)
What is the position and hours?
- 1st shift machinist 6:00AM-4:30PM Monday - Thursday with OT on Friday
- 2nd shift machinist 4:30PM-3:00AM Monday - Thursday with OT on Friday
Minimum requirements:
- 5 years set up on lathes
- Experience running cast iron
- Experience with live tooling
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot programs/tooling for finish and dimensional issues
- Demonstrated ability to edit/program on the control
Preferred experience:
- 5 years set up on Okuma Lathes (LB 35/LB 45)
- Demonstrated ability to set up/prove out new programs and tooling
- Ability to process new parts from prints
- Supervisory experience
- Candidates will have to pass physical assessment and have a clear drug screen
