BASIC FUNCTION
Under the general direction of the Manager – Supply and Operations Planning, the Inventory Analyst will support all functions of the S&OP and Supply Chain groups at Baker. The primary objective of this role will be to support the Supply Chain team, and specifically the S&OP team in reporting metrics reporting, project management, process analysis, process improvement, and inventory analysis.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for preparing daily/weekly/monthly metrics reports across both plants, i.e. Schedule Adherence, Dispatch List, Rate of Sale
- Controls Inventory levels and accuracy to service customer orders with the least amount of inventory and the quickest release to manufacturing. Resolves negative inventory problems.
- Oversees cycle counts, as well as any physical inventory counts. Manage hardware inventory.
- Oversee inventory and review issues to completed work orders to prevent overstock issues and balance inventory.
- Communicate and coordinate between purchasing, marketing, customer service, and operations during shortfalls.
- Review items to purchase with Merchandising to ensure correct quantities are being ordered or if items need to be dropped.
- Daily review of Customer Service questions, providing answers where possible, disseminating questions that cannot be answered to the appropriate associate for review and providing those answers back to Customer Service.
- Identify non-value added activities, develop process improvement initiatives, and deliver measurable process improvement.
- Assist in large projects, i.e., the liquidation of Excess and Obsolete inventory.
- Assist EDS with the cleanup of master data, BOMs and Routings as necessary.
- Ad hoc analysis and other tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Relationships:
- Reports to the Manager - Sales & Operations Planning
Organizational Relationships:
- Frequent contact with all members of the purchasing, production, and customer service.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in business or related concentration; or equivalent experience. One year experience working in a Supply Chain or analytical capacity. Oracle experience a plus. Knowledge of inventory principles; APICS certification desired. Effective written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Must be a detail oriented, highly analytical person with strong Excel skills.
