Under the direction of the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Auditor I is responsible for timely completing client audits and responding to client requests, performing internal audits and reviews, and other audit work as assigned. Work is highly variable and complex and requires objectivity and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and other department staff. Duties may include advanced audit work and methods, such as scoping internal, ISO and client audits, gathering relevant evidence and assessing compliance to audit tests. This position requires knowledge of auditing principles, practices and methods, and the ability to work independently. Day-to-day work and decisions may require direction or review by the immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by the Director of Compliance, Compliance Auditor III or Compliance Officer. As a Compliance Auditor I, you will: In a timely manner, complete client audits and respond to client requests, including answering questionnaires, completing on-line surveys, providing appropriate evidence, and responding to findings with appropriate Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) Participate in performance and process audits completing audit working papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings under the supervision of the Compliance Auditor III. Participate in annual ISO audits, including preparing documentation and assisting the Audit Director during the on-site visits. Research and report on regulatory or client requests or requirements. Work with other departments as necessary to ensure an effective compliance program. Assist departments with the development of quality documents and BMS reviews. Collaborate with management regarding compliance issues or audits. Maintain records of audit work and audit communications per department standards. Participate in internal or other statutory and/or regulatory training including ISO and SOC certifications. Identify, document and follow up on potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and corrective actions. Exercise a high degree of professionalism and self-motivation using personal initiative to identify and recommend best practices. Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional education and industry best practices. Perform all other duties as assigned. Goal oriented – you understand how your work fits in the big picture and follow through to make your goals a reality. As a Compliance Auditor I, you must have Strict adherence to confidentiality. Experience with UDAAP, CMS, HIPAA and ACA requirements. Experience with ISO standards. Ability to remain impartial and objective. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional appearance and ability to develop collaborative and professional relationships. Exceptional prioritization and time management skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Knowledge and professional application of audit principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards, current laws and company policy. Understanding of the company’s organizational structure and key business activities. Excellent understanding of company policies. Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks and adapt quickly to change. Solid knowledge of standard office applications and equipment (examples: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, SharePoint, video conferencing platforms such as Zoom WebEx and MS Teams., copiers, scanners, and projectors). All employees are required to perform the following essential functions: demonstrate predictable, reliable and timely attendance; follow written and verbal directions and complete assigned tasks on schedule; read, write and communicate proficiently in English; communicate in person and by telephone in accordance with CyraCom policy; learn from directions, observations and mistakes; work independently or as part of a team; interact appropriately with others including co-workers, supervisors and clients; and be open to receiving instructions/feedback, coaching/counseling and/or corrective action. Minimum Requirements: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Ability to occasionally travel to other CyraCom office locations for one or more workdays. Ideally, you will also have: 1 to 2 years of experience in performance and compliance auditing or related field. What else you can expect: Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Extensive use of a computer and repetitive hand movements in the performance of duties.
