The expected salary range for this position is $199,400.00 - $249,200.00. The Senior Director of Church Engagement leads national teams in marketing sponsorships and cultivates major gifts for all core ministries by creating new church partnerships. At this career level, she or he is generally responsible for their own results, leveraging vast organizational knowledge to effectively represent Compassion to church leaders, and using broad understanding and ability to articulate all core ministry elements to accomplish objectives in accordance with established department requirements. The primary purpose of this position is to provide direction through subordinate managers and staff. This responsibility includes hiring, discipline, and termination, as well as, coaching, performance management, assigning, checking, and approving work to achieve global strategies and objectives. She or he collaborates with other senior leaders and contributes to the development of functional strategy. What will you do? Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer. Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur. Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors. Provides leadership and engagement to direct reports. Works with staff to foster an environment of professional growth, in alignment with compassion’s strategies and objectives. Consult with peer management and senior leaders to successfully align departmental resources and priorities across Compassion. Compiles or prepares and administers the annual budget and departmental expenses, ensuring accountability for on-time completion of deliverables based on department objectives, SLAs, and other Compassion standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory and board policies. Selects, manages and develops assigned staff, establishing goals and objectives, coaching and managing performance, including discipline, motivation, and annual reviews; supports continuous learning and development that enhances individual performance and organizational capability. Directs a comprehensive strategy for building long-term church relationships that planning and executing vision trips and/or short terms missions trips for the purpose of cultivating church relationships across the country or multiple countries; and collaborating with churches to design programs beneficial to the church and Compassion. Directs church development teams for interaction with major church pastors and other key decision-makers fostering significant relationships and growth in increased giving potential; and directs strategic church development strategy in collaboration with other key leaders. Directs the establishment and cultivation of a broad range of church relationships, generating sponsorships and varied revenue streams in order to meet annual goals and budget requirements for a wide variety of ministry needs. Manages assigned church relationships to meet goals for activity and revenue production. Represents Compassion at national international venues, participating as a renown speaker, influencing the audience to become active advocates for children and enthusiastic ambassadors for Compassion. Directs best practice programs for achieving maximum value in mutually beneficial church relationships. What do you bring? Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a focus on managing teams of sales managers. Proven success in driving B2B sales growth in a competitive market. Preferred experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems. Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
