Lead - Advisor is a consulting and search firm specializing in wealth management. This role is for a client firm.
Our client, a wealth management and planning practice in La Jolla, is hiring a teamed lead advisor to assist in building the clientele. This is a salaried advisor role (plus variable/bonus compensation) inside of a practice with a focus on business development.
The ideal candidate should have experience as a client facing advisor and a passion for the planning process. The ideal candidate will be energized by business development and creating new relationships. This role will have the professional development benefits of working closely with the practice owner/Certified Financial Planner and other team members for coaching, mentorship and available expertise for their clients’ planning.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- The primary focus of this role is new business development by using your own efforts, network and creativity to attract clients to the practice. This will be done inside of a rapidly growing, existing practice.
- Work with clients on their investments, insurance, advanced planning and other financial needs in a holistic fashion. This will be conducted through discovery meetings, plan presentations and review meetings to ensure the clients goals and recommendations remain aligned.
- Work with the investment, planning and operations team to collaborate on analysis, recommendations and service items.
- Work closely with the practice founder and chief operating office on the client and planning experience.
- Potentially work with an existing client segment to update plans and recommendations, ensure a first class experience and get referred to other clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years of client facing, prospecting and financial planning experience
- CFP preferred (or obtain in first 12 months with the firm)
- Series 7 and 66 and LAH insurance license
- Must have a desire to:
o Network and build meaning relationships with executives, business ownership and high potential professionals
o Be a confident and an effective communicator
o Be coachable
