JOB DESCRIPTION
Leaders in Community Alternatives, Inc. (LCA) is a community-based criminal justice organization which has been providing services in California since 1991. We are seeking qualified applicants for the following part-time position:
CASE MANAGER - STANISLAUS JUVENILE SERVICES
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Case Manager/Group Facilitator provides services to Juvenile participants inside the Juvenile Hall and those under Probation Supervision. The Case Manager/Group Facilitator is the primary coordinator of service delivery, including facilitation of groups and case management. Using Motivational Interviewing, effective case-management skills and evidence-based practices, the Case Manager will conduct intake assessment, group facilitation, provide support to assigned caseload and assist with the transportation of participants to groups.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of two years of related experience ideally working with youth involved with the criminal justice system or other environment serving at-risk youth. Applicants must have demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based case management.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a focus in social work, criminal justice, psychology, counseling, or other mental health related field.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:
∙Experience working with adolescents with complex needs;
∙Prior experience working with at risk youth or families with multiple problems in the delinquency or child welfare systems preferred.
∙Knowledge and/or experience working in a jail/prison environment and knowledge of the criminal justice system preferred.
∙ Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds; strong interpersonal communication skills.
∙ Ability to work under pressure; good sense of humor; flexible and patient.
∙ Valid California Driver License with safe driving record.
∙ Must be able to pass Livescan background check and Juvenile Hall security clearance.
Regular work days and hours: Monday through Thursday from 12:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.

Criteria for approval or denial of a position include not currently on parole, mandatory supervision, PRCS or probation or under any structured supervision as a result of criminal conduct; not required to register per Health and Safety Code Section 11590, Penal Code Section 290, and/or Penal Code Section 451.
