The Operations Specialist performs a variety of back-office functions related to retirement plan recordkeeping. The position works closely with account holders, institutional clients, investment providers, and internal staff to help participants. Operations Specialist Job Description:

Roles/Duties:
- Process new accounts, contributions, and distributions for retirement participants
- Support conversion of blocks of Force-out IRA accounts to the Alta Trust platform
- Analyze and report on related Operations activity
- Perform month-end and year-end processes, including statement runs and fees
- Perform reconciliation of accounts
- Research and resolve inquiries from customers
- Support escalations from customer service calls, as needed
- Maintain and follow policies/procedures
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications And Desirable Experience:
- Strong understanding of investments and related operational processes with retirement plan services a plus
- Advanced knowledge of financial services, specifically of the mutual fund or retirement industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented
- Able to work well in a team environment and independently
- Experience with Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to participate as a member of a team, assisting in other projects as needed
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within deadlines and a high degree of accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree (all majors encouraged to apply) or 3 years industry-related experience
