Accounts Payable Manager

About the role:
Become a key player in our team and contribute to our success by leading our Accounts Payable operations with integrity and innovation! The Accounts Payable Manager will lead the charge in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all AP processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor an onsite and remote team of AP Analysts. Set goals and objectives to drive team performance.
- Process Management: Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, including vouchering and posting into the AP system. Manage weekly AP payment runs, maintain supplier records, and adhere to Shared Services policies.
- Cash Planning:Assist the Senior Manager of Accounting with domestic cash planning and execute standard bank wire transfers for operating and payroll purposes.
- Reconciliation Oversight:Oversee intercompany reconciliations and resolve issues with Ferrotec affiliates to maintain financial integrity.
- Issue Resolution:Support other departments by researching discrepancies and resolving vendor inquiries.
- Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records and control reports. Monitor the unvouchered account to ensure timely clearance of items.
- Reporting & Compliance:Prepare and review monthly journal entry accruals related to AP and ensure accurate general ledger updates at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end. Contribute to the monthly and quarterly report packages.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to AP processes and assist with AP-related upgrades/enhancements.
- Prepare documentation required by J-Sox and participate in special research projects and report preparation as needed.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- B.S. in Accounting or related field with 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, account reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Windows-based software, including Excel and Word. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and manage multiple projects independently.
- Attention to Detail:** Demonstrate a keen eye for accuracy and thoroughness.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle business software and accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Salary: $115, 000-$128,000 annually
