Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payments, including checks and electronic transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and provide support as needed.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
