What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Accountant position at Ledgent?
Our client in the Atlanta area is seeking a Cash Accountant for a Direct-Hire opportunity. This role will play a crucial part in managing and processing revenue transactions, while also supporting various broader accounting functions.
This is a full on-site position. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Thorough understanding and accurate processing of revenue transactions.
· Oversee end-to-end cash management processes, including cash application, bank reconciliations, and ensuring timely and accurate recording of cash receipts.
· Update and maintain financial records within the NetSuite system.
· Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure precision in financial reporting.
· Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
· Review and reconcile expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.
· Collaborate with billing and sales departments to reconcile revenue discrepancies and ensure accurate revenue reporting.
· Participate in month-end close activities, conducting detailed revenue and cash flow analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.
· Develop and implement efficient revenue recognition processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in bank reconciliations and cash management.
· Proven experience with NetSuite or a comparable large ERP system.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, V-Lookups, and formula editing (SUM & IF statements).
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
· Experience with multi-unit/multi-entity accounting, including reconciling multiple bank accounts and managing intercompany transactions.
· Familiarity with GL reconciliations and month-end close activities.
