Litigation Associate (Entry-Level)

Leech Tishman Fuscaldo & Lampl, LLC is seeking to hire an entry-level Litigation Associate with an interest in civil and commercial litigation to work in our Pittsburgh office. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Excellent communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must. Previous law clerk experience in drafting initial pleadings, attending depositions, and preparing and responding to written discovery are a plus.

Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Involvement in cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
• Propounding and responding to discovery
• Conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses and experts
• Attending court hearings
• Preparing and arguing motions/oppositions
• Trial preparation

Candidate Qualifications

• Keen interest in civil and commercial litigation
• Pending J.D.
• Pending admittance to Pennsylvania Bar
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word
• Legal research and technical writing skills, including proficiency with legal research tools
• Ability to handle litigation matters from inception to trial, including preparation of pleadings and briefs, managing discovery and depositions, and conducting legal research, analysis, and writing
• Familiarity with both state and federal court proceedings
• Strong academic and employment credentials
• Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills
• Good interpersonal interaction skills
• Well-organized
• Proven track record of performance

This position is full-time.
