As an Executive Chef you will be instrumental in the quality of food and resident dining experience and overall operation of the Dietary Department. Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at The Grove Berwyn by planning menus for all food outlets in the facility, approving requisition of products and supplies, ensuring high standards of sanitization, cleanliness and safety, establishing controls to minimize food and supply loss, training foodservice employees regarding safety, sanitization and accident prevention, developing recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation, Cooking or supervising the cooking of items that require skillful preparation, meeting and interacting with residents to obtain feedback, and evaluating food products to assure high quality standards. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.
To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:
As a minimum, a bachelors degree; or four (4) years of related experience and.or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience, food sanitation certification and Dietary Manager Certification (CDM). One (1) year of experience as a Dietary Manager and Prior Executive Chef experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
