Summary of Responsibilities
This is a contract position responsible for managing project planning activities for an NRC regulated site. Reporting to the customer's Manager of Project Support, the Project Planner is responsible for the production of project schedules in line with the customer's standards and procedures.
Education and Experience
Required
- Education- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Five years of scheduling experience.
Preferred
- PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) qualification or equivalent.
- PMI, AACE or equivalent professional Membership.
Job Details
- The work location for this position is Eunice, NM.
- Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed.
- Security Clearance Requirement: Controlled Access Area (CAA) Access and to hold/attain an L or Q level security clearance is required.
- Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
- Actively promote a pro-active safety culture throughout the project lifecycle and across the group.
- Planning of project activities, including schedule development.
- Create initial project baseline schedules and provide planning expertise to project teams.
- Ensuring project schedules in Primavera and/or Microsoft Project that reflect all interface milestones and activity durations from multiple contractors.
- Development of planning activities ensuring flawless integration of all project requirements, deliverables and resources required throughout the project lifecycle.
- Carry out peer reviews of schedules produced by others.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
