What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pro Bono Coordinator position at Legal Aid Works?
Join our dynamic team at a nonprofit law firm helping low income Virginians with their civil legal needs. You will lead our efforts to recruit, train, inspire and appreciate private attorneys who are willing to volunteer their time. Knowledge of the legal world is a plus, but will train the right candidate. This position calls for a cheerful, persuasive, personable, diplomatic professional who can creatively design and implement a campaign to recruit more pro bono attorneys to assist our small number of staff attorneys. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, meticulous, an energetic self-starter, and happy to interact with many different kinds of people. Duties include record-keeping, grant reporting, client intakes to determine eligibility, and planning legal clinics staffed by pro bono attorneys you recruit. Some local travel is necessary when conducting recruiting efforts and setting up legal clinics. We need your enthusiasm and intelligence!
