Century 21 the iconic retailer and purveyor of off-price luxury fashion has teamed with Legends to introduce a revitalized shopping experience to the Century 21st faithful local and global fans. This partnership will bring fans of the iconic brand an enhanced shopping experience in-store and online. The re-opened Cortlandt Street location will span the four main floors of the original downtown space and will offer men’s, women’s and children’s designer apparel, footwear, outerwear, handbags accessories and fragrances.
THE ROLE
As an Operational Assistant (OA) you will drive sales and promote the brand standard through exceptional presentation, merchandising, and replenishment within your areas of responsibility. The OA will undertake all activities related to merchandising receipts, signing displays/fixtures, managing floor replenishment, and executing trend directives as directed. The OA will develop and implement routines for efficiency and productivity using best practices for the timely achievement of results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drive sales and achieve performance goals through team development and strategy execution.
- Develop a strong culture of individual capability and goal alignment to create team efficiency.
- Actively participate in planning and strategy meetings with managers and business partners.
- Demonstrate priority flexibility to “hit moving targets” and remain nimble.
- Direct merchandise receipt placement, replenishment, and event set up. Partner with management team to plan and execute floor/fixture moves, merchandise placement and presentation, while ensuring ADA compliance. Partner with Visual Team to enhance merchandise presentations.
- Take a leadership role in the execution of all price changes, transfers, and signing; lead team and ensure accuracy. Process salvages, damages, and repackaging in a timely manner.
- Manage physical inventory process and ensure that shortage prevention initiatives are executed.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of operations/merchandising retail management.
- 4-year college degree preferred.
- Productivity driven, task oriented, and highly organized.
- Strong merchandising skills and retail acumen.
- Ability to work well with all levels of management, build partnerships, and direct teams.
- Capability of understanding, developing, and executing verbal and written strategies.
- Ability to train, motivate, mentor, and develop others.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, interpersonal, and communications skills.
- Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills.
COMPENSATION
$45,000 - $60,000
