The Leidos Defense Group is seeking a dynamic Program Manager for the Mobile Virtual Operator Trainer (M-VOT) program based out of Reston, VA. This position is responsible for all activities associated with executing the M-VOT program within the Lifecycle Mission and Systems Support (LMSS) Division. The Program Manager (PM) manages a diverse set of customers and requirements as it relates to the ability to apply “as a Service” to the training needs of the customers. The successful PM oversees the execution and growth of the M-VOT program.

Responsibilities – Work you’ll do:

  • Provides oversight and communicates the Leidos personnel policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to the team.

  • Leads program execution and manages all aspects of the contract.

  • Responsible for overall staffing, and schedule and budget performance.

  • Responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of management plans, tasking and production, and meeting deliverables on the program.

  • Interfaces frequently with customers, organizes and conducts program status reviews, team meetings and various other business rhythms.

  • Collaborates and engages the business development team to identify new opportunities, increase value propositions, and identify new capabilities to drive sales. 

  • Responsible for the overall risk and opportunity management, including cost/financial management, quality assurance, risk & opportunities management, data management, document control, contract/ subcontracting management, training & qualification processes, manpower planning, and execution and control of program’s contractual, administrative, and financial requirements.

  • Manages a mid-size team consisting of experienced professionals and directs the tasking of a geographically dispersed team, who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. 

  • Responsible for recruiting talent, promotions, performance management, and reward incentive decisions for direct reports.

  • Demonstrates Program Management experience in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects within the services area, as well as start-up and transition activities for a new program.

Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

  • BA/BS in Engineering or Management and (8) plus years of experience. Related military experience may substitute education requirement.

  • Ten (10) years of experience in a management position dealing with complex Navy systems.

  • Four (4) years of personnel management and administration, cost/financial management, manpower planning, and execution and control of program deliverables, administrative, or financial requirements.

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education – Favorable if you have:

  • Experience in providing risk assessments as it relates to strategy and execution.

  • Experience with customers such as PMS IWS5 or N9.

  • Experience as a commanding officer on a US Naval vessel.

  • Experience in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) performing requirements development and with establish funding for new program start ups.

  • Possesses a PMP.

Clearance Required:

  • Must be eligible for a Top Secret Clearance.
