Description
The Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) is the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT the Leidos team will deliver the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN), including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. In order to continually modernize these networks, the Navy and Marine Corps will award project Task Orders onto the SMIT contract.
What will you do as a Watch Officer?
The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) unclassified (MCEN-N) and classified (MCEN-S) networks, email, voice, and official message traffic. Additional job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform Tier 1 First Contact resolution and after-hours Regional Service (RSD) support to include routine checks of network, ongoing maintenance, and operational support status
Inform the Senior Watch Officer of any service degradations or outages
Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or escalate technical issues
Open and Close tickets
Correlate events and incidents for management of IT Services
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) w/5 years of experience
3 years customer service experience
2 years ticketing systems experience
1 year router/switch experience
US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance
IAT Level II Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with the Marine Corps
Experience with Remedy
CCNA Certification
SMIT-MCEN
