The Aircraft Quality Control Manager for the DEA Aviation Operations will oversee and ensure the quality and safety of all aircraft maintenance and operations. This role involves developing and implementing quality control programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and DEA standards.
THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)
Quality Control Program Management:
Develop, implement, and manage quality control programs for all DEA aircraft operations.
Establish and maintain quality standards and procedures to ensure aircraft safety and reliability.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality control programs and make necessary adjustments.
Inspections and Audits:
Conduct regular inspections and audits of aircraft, maintenance procedures, and operational activities.
Ensure all aircraft maintenance and operations comply with FAA regulations and DEA policies.
Identify and address any issues or discrepancies found during inspections.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance activities, and quality control measures.
Ensure all documentation complies with federal regulations and DEA requirements.
Prepare and submit reports on quality control findings and activities.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to maintenance and operational staff on quality control standards and procedures.
Develop and conduct quality control training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes, and incorporate them into training programs.
Safety Management:
Promote a culture of safety within the DEA Aviation Operations.
Ensure all quality control activities prioritize the safety of personnel and aircraft.
Investigate and respond to safety incidents and implement corrective actions as needed.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Oversee and evaluate the quality control practices of vendors and contractors.
Ensure that all external maintenance and repair work meets DEA standards and regulations.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to address quality issues and improvements.
WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)
The Aircraft Quality Control Manager shall have a minimum of ten (10) years extensive experience in the type aircraft and power plant maintenance and repair support required for the Designated Aircraft Inventory with a minimum of five (5) of the ten years’ experience in a supervisory position in a quality control program at the level of making airworthiness decisions.
The Aircraft Quality Control Manager shall hold a valid certificate issued by the FAA with both airframe and power plant ratings with an Inspection Authorization.
The Aircraft Quality Control Manager must be formally trained and be familiar on the type Designated Aircraft for which he has responsibility.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
This position is a full-time responsibility and must be located at the main on-site Alliance Facility.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
