Description
Leidos is hiring a Modeling and Simulation Engineer with an active Secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
The successful candidate will use good people skills to work with Leidos and gov’t team members along with strong technical capabilities to collaborate with the technical team of engineers and scientists solving challenging technical questions about highly complex systems.
Primary Responsibilities
*Design logical models of space and ground systems for use in an AF/DoD environment
*Perform tasks related to the integration of system models (radars, aircraft, missiles, command and control) into a large, many-on-many, real-time, C based simulation environment.
*Participate in individual projects and small teams of government and contractor personnel
*Test and evaluate own models and others to ensure functionality before submitting to the customer
* Prepare ad hoc documents, analytic reports, and multi-media products.
Basic Qualifications
*Active Secret clearance and TS/SCI eligibility
* BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field with 4 years of applicable experience or an MS and 2 years of related experience.
*Experience with MATLAB and Modeling and Simulation (M&S) techniques
*Excellent English-language writing/briefing skills. Strong emphasis on writing capability.
*Great people skills and the desire to work with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists
*Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines in a mixed government-contractor environment
Preferred Qualifications
*Active TS/SCI
*MS in CS, CE, EE or a related field
*Experience in C
*Experience in working at NASIC with Intelligence Community models, all-source analysis, radars, aircraft, missiles, space vehicles, Simulink, and Simulink Coder.
