Current State of Michigan Nursing License required
CPR Certification required

Job Summary
The Registered Nurse directs, delegates and provides resident care based on the resident’s plan of care and physician orders. The Registered Nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, the physicians, the resident and resident representative to plan, implement and continually evaluate that the plan is successful.
The Registered Nurse performs job duties in accordance with the Federal, State regulations, local laws, policies and procedures of Lenawee Medical Care facility within the guidelines of the professional organization.
Principles Duties and Responsibilities
Provides direct resident care including administering medications, preforming complex and routine treatments, observing and evaluating the residents’ response to medications and ordered, treatments.
Administers peripheral, Midline, PICC (intravenous) fluids and medications. Monitors the intravenous sites. Inserts peripheral IV lines and performs blood draws. Discontinues peripheral, Midline and PICC intravenous lines.
Observes the resident throughout your shift for changes in condition, acting on a change of condition by gathering data, reporting to the physician/delegate, resident representative and implementing new physician orders received.
Inserts, cares for and monitors supra pubic catheters, indwelling catheters and straight catheters using the bladder scan as ordered.
Inserts and monitors gastrostomy tubes and administers feedings.
Documents in Point Click Care (PCC) and on other documents as need regarding the resident’s condition, medications administered, treatments completed and other documentation as required.
Participates in the interdisciplinary care planning process for the residents and participates in the resident’s care conference because as the resident’s consistent nurse/advocate and the relationship you have developed with the resident/family you will know the resident’s condition, needs and wants.
Supervise, communicates resident’s needs and delegates to the Certified Nurse Assistants ensuring the care provided is consistent with the resident’s plan of care, safe and the quality of care expected by the facility.
Communicates with the Unit Leader, the Director of Nursing and or the Administrator resident’s needs, concerns and the units needs related to staffing and or equipment.
All other responsibilities as assigned.
Available Shifts: 6am - 6pm and 6pm - 6am, Full-Time and Part-Time.
