Job Summary

Supports customers and internal sales team in selecting, rating, and pricing Navy and Marine HVAC&R products.  The principal technical authority and selling agent with an assigned product responsibility for achieving the short-and long-range sales objectives established in the Company's Business Plan.  Objectives will be achieved through developing new and existing customers and markets.

Job Responsibilities
  • The principal selling agent within the assigned product responsibility for achieving the short-and long-range sales objectives established in the Company’s Business Plan
  • Supports customers and the internal sales team in the selection, rating, and pricing of standard and custom products to meet customer requirements
  • Work with other departments to gather technical and cost/pricing information to support proposal preparation
  • Provide training and support to customers, engineers, and naval architects on products and associated technical data
  • Select, rate and price standard and custom Navy and marine products to meet customer requirements
  • Collaborate with Marlo's engineering and manufacturing departments to resolve technical issues
  • Travels to customers and potential customers’ facilities providing them with information and support as required to secure business
  • Communicate customer requirements to management and request support from other departments as necessary to assist in achieving established objectives
  • Ensure that sales activities comply with sales policies and procedures
  • Recommends to the Company areas of future growth potential such as new products, acquisitions, new market strategies, etc.
  • Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in business and product planning
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of the product line, its specialized applications, and its potential
  • Independently recognize and seek out sales, using methods of obtaining sales and providing service to customers within area of accountability
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of written quotes, RFPs, RFIs and RFQ responses and sales proposals
  • Handle all customer calls on timely basis
  • Assist in the development of sales tools for sales representatives and customers
  • Ensure new product information is communicated to appropriate personnel as required
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Assist with other marketing projects and assignments as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mechanical engineering background with an understanding of thermal dynamic principals 
  • Department of Defense experience in contracting and/or engineering preferred
  • Demonstrated sales management and marketing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple selling and marketing units
  • General knowledge of accounting, manufacturing procedures, data processing, quality control procedures and engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and oral
  • Excellent presentation skills
