The opportunity
As Quality Manager you will join the team to lead, develop, and improve the quality people, processes, culture, safety and customer experience enabling world class production of Leonardo products and continued business growth
Leader of a business area quality management team, responsible for effective leadership, planning and communication of objectives
Supporting the Head of Quality, Head of Manufacturing Engineering (inc. Ops leadership) and Business Area leadership (Sector level Vice President)
identify the specific sector and program risks, threats and opportunities that the QM will manage and support.
agree Project Assurance Plans (PAP) at both the Program and Project level defining project assurance activities aligned to risk, opportunity and improvement to support the business area and associated projects
What We Need From You
recognised as an expert in quality, operations, operations framework, manufacturing, leadership principles and business processes such as finances
People management & leadership skills; including effective performance and change management skills (change agent)
Experienced in maturity review at the highest level
extensive experience of assessing an life cycle deliverable ensuring results and actions are implemented
demonstrated knowledge and experience of all phases of the product life cycle and the associated processes, experienced in design / maturity reviews representing quality at the highest level
NPI / MRL quality experience bringing new electro-mechanical products to market
Expert in influencing and negotiating with others using facts, proposals, data and analysis to support line of reasoning
communicate quality at a leadership level in a non-technical influencing way
Evidence of leadership of capability and process development within quality engineering and ability to implement change
Ability to partner effectively with operations, project teams, customers and suppliers
Success in mentoring and coaching in order to grow Quality excellence within the business
Experienced in reducing TQNQ and implementation of a root cause and corrective action culture positively effecting business
