Service Contract Act (SCA) position
The Cook II prepares in large quantities, by various methods of cooking, meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, seasons and cooks all cuts of various meats, fish and poultry, boils, steams or fries vegetables, makes gravies, soups, sauces, roasts, meat pies, fricassees, casseroles, and stews. Independently performs moderately difficult tasks in preparing small quantities of quickly prepared food such as steaks, chops, cutlets, hamburgers, eggs, salads and other similar items. Provides Guidance to Food Service Workers who over kitchen activities, Dessert & Salad bar requirements. Must be willing and able to work Weekdays, Weekends, AM-Shift (0500-1400) ,PM-Shift(1030-1930) & Some Holidays. This Job may offer opportunities to travel and work within the State for 15-20 days at a time 2-3 times a year.
High school diploma or GED equivalent. Within the past 10 years, 3 years' experience in volume food preparation and service. The most recent year of the 3 years must have been in a supervisory position that included planning, scheduling and directing subordinate personnel in food preparation and service.
Must be certified in Food Service.
