Responsibilities and Duties
We are hiring guitar instructors to teach private music lessons at our various locations. Most of our instructors conduct lessons out of several of our Lessons Unlimited Locations depending on the day of the week and the locations in demand. Instructors are always given the options to choose which locations are geographically acceptable for them to teach at and which ones they do not wish to teach at. We conduct lessons on a year-round basis. Our Fall and Winter semesters are regimented 18-week programs while our Summer semester affords more flexibility, and a lower lesson number commitment for both our families and our instructors if they choose. We require our students to register and pay for a full 18 week semester in order to protect our faculty member’s time and to help provide a reasonable and stable work schedule. Curriculum structure and resources can and should vary from student to student based on each individual student’s knowledge level and capabilities. It is the instructor's discretion to direct student development, the course of study, and recommend corresponding lesson materials for each student. This instructor role provides a high degree of autonomy with little managerial supervision and oversight. The faculty member is responsible for choosing their hours of availability, and their preferred work locations and Lessons Unlimited will provide students accordingly. Candidates must possess the self-motivation, personal accountability, and independent responsibility to represent Lessons Unlimited, themselves, and their student’s interest in a professional manner with diligence and integrity. This is a part-time opportunity that may grow into a full-time opportunity if an instructor provides quality lessons, and chooses to provide adequate availability.
