Job Description/About Us
Levco Management is a quickly growing fully-integrated apartment owner, operator, and construction firm based in Richmond, VA. The firm is positioned to be one of the most active acquiror and renovator of apartment communities in the Mid-Atlantic region in the coming years. Levco is currently hiring a Human Resources Manager to be located out of its corporate office in Richmond. This position will be responsible for HR projects and initiatives, employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, payroll, employee benefits, and compliance. The Human Resources Manager will report to the Executive Vice President and Managing Partner.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a general human resources position.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience preferred.
· Advanced level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
· Prior payroll processing experience a plus
· Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
· Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, articulate ideas, and produce quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
· Should be flexible to work at and/or travel between property sites as necessary
· Strong project and time management skills required
· Excellent organization and communication skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for handling employee relation issues within the organization.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies and procedures and escalate as necessary.
- Responsible for compiling information to prepare a variety of personnel action forms containing confidential and sensitive information.
- Will work with Recruiter and VP to ensure job descriptions are up to date; will establish compensation strategy for all company positions
- Assist with training and supporting managers on a variety of human resources activities such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits, payroll, and performance management.
- Process and oversee payroll submission and benefits administration.
- Manage the employee performance evaluation process. This includes ensuring performance evaluations and action plans are properly prepared, processed, and filed.
- Handles process for onboarding and offboarding employees within the region.
- Works closely with managers to resolve employee concerns.
- Maintains Employee Handbook; Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations regarding human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
· Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
