ABOUT THE POSITION The program assistant position will provide direct support and contributions to the Center for Social Change and Community Involvement (the Center). The program assistant will be responsible for co-creating, and implementing processes and structures related to the functions of the Center that include but are not limited to; leadership development, volunteerism, immersion programs, and alternative break programs. This work will be collaborative, action-oriented and centered on positive social change. Under the direction of the Center Director, the program assistant position will assist in coordinating several program development projects to improve and solidify program offerings for students. WHAT YOU'LL DO 40% Assist the Director with program development: Identifying inefficiencies, processes & structures to improve office function and support. 25% Develop & execute Marketing Plan for The Center 20% Support Alternative Break programs, logistics & and execution of trips 5% Research best practices within higher education; research sister institutions with similar departmental outcomes 5% Assessment relevant to the functions of the office MUST HAVES Proficiency with Google Suite software Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Strong organizational and administrative skills NICE TO HAVES Project Coordination Experience Experience working with community organizations Experience working in High Education setting WORK SCHEDULE Hours per week: 30 Benefit Eligible: No PAY RATE $18.00/hr Directions for Cover Letter Please upload your cover letter on the My Experience screen in the resume section.
