Job Summary

Calculates the productivity of physicians and mid-levels utilizing RVU schedules as described within physician employment agreements. Maintains appropriate accounting systems, of which captures and calculates the financial aspects of the revenue cycle relevant to physician practices and community medical centers.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Required Certifications/Licensure: None
Required Training: Experience and knowledge of computerized accounting systems;
True proficiency in MS Excel (Macros, VBA, etc.)

Essential Functions

  • Review all physician contracts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual productivity (RVU) schedules for all physicians.
  • Calculate physician productivity pay on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare journal entries to post the appropriate RVU statistics and productivity pay.
  • Prepare quarterly physician “bonus” reports for Vice Presidential approval.
  • Monitor the interfaces between Revenue/Productivity Reporting Systems.
  • Reconcile the various Revenue/Productivity Reporting Systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist external auditors in appropriate areas of their work.
  • Maintain accrual reconciliations as they relate to physician compensation.
  • Convert physician productivity from one RVU model to another.
  • As developments occur or significant concerns arise, advise and update supervisor and other personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintain an optimistic and professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers. Show courtesy, compassion, and respect. Conform to service excellence policy and "House Rules."
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by authorized personnel, or as required in an emergency (i.e., fire or disaster).
