The LexisNexis Lexis Search Advantage (LSA) team are searching for a high energy legal professional to be one of the figureheads in our regional Large Markets Team. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a team of field-based sales professionals toward meeting company objectives in the areas of new sales revenue, market penetration, and implementation of Lexis Search Advantage. You’ll have to be comfortable with highly technical content, having detailed Legal Enterprise Search led knowledge of legal workflow and how legal enterprise search can transform it.
This person is a key member of the sales leadership team and serves as a liaison and collaborator between Sales, Product, Customers and Segment to help build a team to convey the value to many customer stakeholders from Legal, Knowledge Management, IT, InfoSec, Finance and Procurement. This position services as a technical, sales and leadership resource to the LSA sales team, customers and potential customers.
Accountabilities
- Achieve financial objectives of the LSA product line
- Assist Sales team with sales motion of high dollar, high complexity cases that leverage multiple business lines or technical complexity.
- Work with our customer teams to obtain technical information necessary to the sales motion to help move opportunities forward.
- Engage in client-facing sessions in strategic firms or markets on knowledge management, content management and technology goals and use cases.
- Build & maintain consultative-level relationships in strategic firms to help create or increase credibility and to inform competitive needs & required RFP capabilities.
- Participate in high-value trade shows or conferences to market LSA and our capabilities, and create valuable and strategic relationships.
- Collect and disseminate market competitive intelligence to broader sales organization on a regular basis.
- Provide training to Sales team as needed on process and technology side of business.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience managing teams in legal technology solutions
- BS/BA
Preferred Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- Proven ability to sell and/or lead and coach the sale of a complex product to an existing and/or new customer base in a competitive marketplace.
- Ability to lead effectively
- Manage to the leading indicators of successful outcomes
- Data / metric driven management
- Ability to understand and drive financially successful outcomes
- Set and hold team accountable to performance metrics
- Ability to professionally develop, motivate, and support your team members
