The Field Application Scientist Manager is a multi-disciplinary molecular biology position that will lead the Field Application Scientist team. Working collaboratively as part of global cross functional service and support team. Providing day-to-day management and oversight of field applications personnel and operations throughout the world and is part of the Service and Support Team.
The Service and Support team acts as a first line of defense to care for all our customers’ post-sale needs: acts as a trifecta of aptitudes between science, mechanics, and software. Our science division works closely with an international customer base around their applications needs in addition to being developed to support both equipment and software problems. This team also support various wings of the organization such as Laboratory Operations, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
The scope of this position is two-pronged; leveraged for leadership and technical oversight. We need someone who will step up to lead, care for their people, encourage, embody a positive and attitude, exude endurance, manage travel activities, scale to growth, responsiveness to customer needs, continuous improvement, and are capable to provide direction and/or guidance on technical application needs in the areas of PCR or oligo synthesis.
Candidate must love working with people, have excellent customer-facing and communication skills. Seeking a strategic and creative thinker, someone who’s undeterred to go after solutions to problems, and requires limited direction to meet company goals and customer needs. In addition, this position will be developed in a fusion of knowledge from genomics, PCR-based genetic analysis, laboratory automation, Oligo synthesis, DNA extraction, and customer care.
