Additionally, our primary manufacturing capabilities enable customization and bulk (OEM) manufacture of reagents such as key NGS enzymes for high volume applications.
Job Description
At LGC Biosearch, the Quality Control Analyst I focuses on performing analysis and inputting data of Custom and GMP oligonucleotides using analytical instruments such as the HPLC, LC/MS, and Spectrophotometer. The QC Analyst I will review and compare these results to established specifications and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment, managing sample analysis and collecting sample data for submission. Additional responsibilities are listed below. The candidate will also be performing other duties as assigned by management and should possess strong organizational, analytical, and communicational skills.
Schedule/Core Hours: Monday – Friday 6:30am-3:00pm

Maximum: $ 39.64/Hourly
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California -based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience, skills, and location.

Area of Responsibility
- Primary role is to execute quality control procedures using LC/MS, HPLC and Spectrophotometer.
- Provides direct feedback to quality/manufacturing/development staff in support of:
- GMP grade oligonucleotide manufacturing
- In-Process oligonucleotide manufacturing
- Quality control activities
- Performs equipment and lab maintenance tasks including:
- Routine calibrations and System Checks
- Maintenance of reagent stock
- Cleaning of the lab
- Daily tracking
- Other responsibilities may include but not limited to stocking of consumables, printing labels, labelling tubes, and capping of tubes.
- Initiate tagouts/attention to operators and alert supervisor or designate to initiate deviation, support tickets, repairs, etc.
- Perform other manufacturing activities per supervisor’s direction.
- Conscientiously learns requirements of the ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality management systems and diligently follows the terms of a quality contract, which describes the relevance and importance of the employee’s work to the achievement of LGC’s quality objectives.
- Potential for overtime hours as the workload requires and with manager’s pre-approval
- Adherence to company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. Chemistry, Biology or related field is required.
- Strong ability to interpret data
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to follow SOPs
- Close attention to detail
- Preference will be given to those with experience with analytical chemistry in the areas of LC/MS and HPLC
