Who You Are:
- Required: High School Diploma

What You'll Do:
This position is responsible for solving LGE's organizational vision and challenges through people-related solutions. As a Total Rewards Specialist, you will have a passion towards developing/administering the most well designed, competitive, and cost effective total rewards strategy possible. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance LGE's total rewards programs to boost employee engagement, experience, and well-being. The Total Rewards Specialist will specialize in Human Resources best practices while implementing a data-driven approach that will help reinvent LGE's compensation and benefits.
- Responsible for leading the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plans
- Researches industry trends, survey data, and best practices to determine/recommend cost effective and competitive total reward solutions consistent with organizational goals and objectives

Process and administer all leave-of-absence requests/disability paperwork including but not limited to:
- Medical
- Personal
- Disability
- FMLA
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities
- Monitors ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA compliance regulations and standards
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, and other general inquiries
- Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes
- Lead new-hire orientations with all matters that are LGE benefit and compensation related
- Collects new employee paperwork while ensuring employment/enrollment forms, insurance, retirement, and benefit documents are current and complete
- Leads the processing of payroll cycles and knowledge including but not limited to:
- Expert knowledge within all functions of the payroll systems
- Bi-weekly and supplemental payroll cycles
- Local, State, and Federal tax reporting [monthly, quarterly, annually]
- Preparing and posting payroll journal entries to general ledgers
- Works with management to audit/reconcile time and attendance for all staff

- Assists in developing/implementing human resource operations plans, policies, procedures, programs and goals while recommending improvements as appropriate

Interpret laws and tax codes as they relate to human resources and payroll procedures while maintaining an understanding of applicable regulations including but not limited to:
- DOL
- EEOC
- HIPAA
- FMLA
- ERISA
- COBRA
- Prepares, reviews, and approves federal and state reports including EEO, OSHA, and Workers’ Compensation documents
- Serves as HR liaison for employees and managers concerning job-related matters while providing informed professional assistance as requested
- Analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities; recommend and help implement new workflows/processes for more efficient, streamlined HRIS operations, and benefits administration
- Develops and implements a communication strategy around all Human Resources functions and responsibilities
- Develops partnerships with internal staff that enable the Human Resources function to provide appropriate services to business partners
- Supports and completes all audit functions as needed
