GL Accountant - $60,000 - $70,000 (Hybrid in Houston)
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a GL Accountant for a well-established company based in Houston, TX. This role will focus managing company accounts, and providing support for both internal and external audits, while assisting in various accounting tasks to streamline processes.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least three years of accounting experience. Responsibilities:
- Input financial data, post journal entries, and verify accuracy across multiple company accounts daily.
- Perform monthly and weekly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, income statements, and bank accounts.
- Input and manage month-end accruals, ensuring transactions are correctly allocated to the proper legal entities.
- Oversee compliance processes and identify areas for improvement, suggesting changes for increased efficiency.
- Support audits by providing schedules, data, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP or IFRS standards.
Client Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of revenue recognition concepts, month-end close procedures, and collaboration with external auditors.
Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
