LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Entry Level Billing Assistant in Downtown Chicago at a law firm. Seeking someone with strong computer skills, excel and willing to learn. Would be a huge plus if candidate had some exposure to billing in an accounting, legal, advertising or similar space, but that is not required. Fun and very friendly work culture and environment!
If candidate has legal experience and LEDES e-billing experience, this job will be fun and easy for them, but they can teach that part as well.
Salary/Bonus - $50-65K (DOE)
Direct Hire
Worksite location – Chicago, IL 60606 - Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Software - e-billing portals, Excel – Pivot tables would be helpful
Growth potential

Responsibilities:
- Prepare prebills; review and edit in response to attorney requests.
- Email/mail client invoices in accordance with client guidelines
- Prepare, submit, track, and monitor e-bills through various client billing platforms; timely address all rejected invoices; research, resolve and reconcile invoice issues.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client and/or billing attorney specific billing instructions.
- Run and understand conflict searches; communicate search findings to Billing Supervisor or Attorneys.
- Open new client/matter requests in billing software system.
- Record incoming payments in billing system and apply to correct client/matters.
- Record third party invoices in billing and accounting systems.
- Request PO’s as new matters are created and when third party invoices are received; invoice PO’s.
- Generate and distribute billing and ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by Billing Supervisors.
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
