The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records subject to federal contractor requirements and/or security clearance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and summarize medical records for attorneys and clients, identifying relevant information and potential medical issues.
- Conduct legal research on relevant healthcare laws, regulations, and medical malpractice standards.
- Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents related to healthcare litigation, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Prepare chronologies, medical narrative reports and summaries of medical events for use in litigation.
- Identify and research qualified medical experts to support legal cases.
- Assist with preparing witnesses for depositions and trial testimony, particularly healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with clients, medical professionals, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in all work performed.
- May provide expert testimony in court, depending on qualifications and experience.
- 3 years of experience as a paralegal
- Strong understanding of medical terminology
- Proven experience in legal research and writing.
- Familiarity with medical malpractice law a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with attorneys and other team members.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
