About the position
- Minces Rankin PLLC is a firm that handles commercial litigation and employment law matters. We try to help the good guys and chase the bad guys, and this includes but is not limited to high-stakes litigation.
- Our firm represents both individuals and businesses and works on both the plaintiff and defense side of the docket.

Duties
- File pleadings and motions in state and federal court
- File charges and other documents with administrative agencies (i.e., EEOC, TWC)
- Draft shell pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses
- Communicate by phone and email with clients to provide updates
- Assist attorneys with litigation support, including preparation of deposition, hearing, and trial notebooks, exhibit notebooks, demonstratives, redacting documents, and bates labeling of exhibits
- maintain high volume calendar and litigation deadlines
Skills
- Strong organizational, oral/written communication, critical thinking, and time management abilities. You will be busy, and the position is fast paced. If you envision a job that involves answering phones and sipping coffee with soft music in the background, this is probably not the best fit for you
- Technology proficient, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to type moderately fast without excessive mistakes
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish is a plus
- Experience filing documents in state and federal court (via ProDoc eFiling, Pacer, etc.) is a plus
- Must be deadline and detail oriented
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Some college education or undergraduate degree preferred
- Must want to work hard and take pride in work
- Must care about quality beyond the bare minimum; natural competitive drive is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
