Patient Intake and Authorizations Specialist

LHH is seeking an experienced candidate to fill a Patient Intake and Authorizations position to support a leading healthcare company in Mesa, Arizona. The temp-to-hire position will be in office and offer compensation at $18 - $20 per hour, DOE.

**Candidate must hold 1 year or more of recent Patient Intake and Authorizations experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and monitor incoming patients and visitors, assist with patient intake, orders and patient referrals, administrative duties as needed
  • Ensuring database is audited and updated as needed with accurate patient information
  • Gathering insurance information to complete pre-authorizations
  • Complete insurance related assignments as needed
  • Provide high level of professional customer service and communication
  • Escalate requests to supervisor as needed

    • Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Prior experience in both patient intake and completing authorizations is required
  • Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work individually as well as on a team environment
  • High efficiency in problem resolution

    • Compensation:

  • $18 - $20 per hour, DOE

    • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Mesa, AZ
  • 8am – 5pm
