- Develop and implement pricing tools that will provide organization with a competitive advantage
- Responsible for comprehensive analyses to deliver actionable insights on market price data, define the most impactful margin protection and cost-out initiatives, and increase profit through strategic price adjustments
- Grow and maintain a sustainable process from square one to analyze market data and compare it to current business (Excel Power query).
- Monitor and track the market price and act as the lead contact with external vendors on data scrapping projects.
- Determine appropriate pricing opportunities to increase revenue.
- Analyze competitor pricing and market trends to increase firm’s market share and profitability.
- Apply statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability (price vs volume at a product level).
- Collaborate with sales and marketing departments to develop and implement competitive pricing strategies.
- Create dynamic pricing tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends.
- Prepare and present pricing analysis findings to executives, marketing teams, and sales staff and apply market price project findings to daily business and customer price files.
- Manage Global Account Customers' regional pricing and update SAP with local values.
- Support intercompany pricing with entities to determine gaps and opportunities.
- Create and manage SAP uploads related to list prices and key customers.
- Integrate market price knowledge into project quoting and end-to-end margin review.
- Manage competing demands and identify and resolve problems promptly; gathering and analyzing information.
- Report to VP Product Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across North America, including Sales, Product Management, Operations, and Finance.
- A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or in a related field
- A minimum of five years' experience as a pricing analyst in a similar industry
- Ability to present pricing analysis reports to relevant stakeholders and leadership team
- Experience in analyzing pricing strategies and forecasting revenue and market share and collaborating on pricing strategies with sales and marketing departments
- Must possess a strong analytical and Business Intelligence background and utilize Excel Power Query
- Expertise in visualization tool such as Tableau, Alteryx and SQL programming is a plus
- Must have in-depth knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis
- Extremely data-driven with strong attention to detail; ability to manipulate and translate data
- Understanding business implications of decisions
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
