Responsibilities:
- Operate slitting machines to cut metal coils, plastic film, paper, or textiles based on production orders and specifications.
- Set up and adjust slitter knives, spacers, and machine components to achieve precise dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machine operation for speed, tension, and alignment to optimize production efficiency and maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspections of slitting machines to prevent downtime and ensure smooth operation, while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Proven experience in slitter operation or similar manufacturing roles, ideally within metal, plastic, paper, or textile industries preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledgeable in slitting machine setup, operation, and maintenance procedures.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to conduct thorough quality checks on finished products, coupled with effective communication skills and the capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Highschool Diploma or GED
