Job Title: Staff Accountant

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis for a 10-week project. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and reporting. The ideal candidate will be familiar with MS Dynamics 365 and Oracle, possess strong analytical skills, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts promptly and accurately. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- General Ledger Management: Assist in the preparation of journal entries and ensure the integrity of the general ledger. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts. Provide support in variance analysis and performance evaluation.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices to improve financial operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to support business objectives and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 and Oracle financial software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
