Technical Integration Technician - Intermediate
(Active Security Clearance required)
Description:
Providing technical, operational, and functional support for the United States Army’s Live, Virtual, and Constructive Integrating Architecture (LVC-IA) at the National Simulation Center, Fort Leavenworth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for configuration, maintenance and security of computer systems, Mission Command systems and enabling networks used for the Army’s LVC-IA
- Responsible for the functional testing of new software releases before implementation
- Responsible for identifying and reporting software deficiencies to Government point of contact and making priority recommendations to material developers
- Provide technical and functional analysis of internal software releases to enhance training value and ensure standards are met
- May require travel
Requirements for this Position:
Security Clearance – Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a personal security clearance (initially at the secret level and higher as required) by the Defense Security Services Agency.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from an accredited college or university in a field which provides the proposed incumbent with the overall knowledge to perform the tasks identified -OR-
Associate in Arts or Science with additional years of experience
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of military simulation and command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems architectures and stimulation concepts.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree (academic, work, or combination of both) in technical integration of simulations and exercises.
- Understanding of military live, virtual and constructive training simulations and federations such as the JLCCTC-MRF, the JLCCTC-ERF, and the JLVC Training Federation.
Compliance will be required with regulations pursuant to Executive Order 14042 and associated guidance published by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force as it pertains to mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations, subject to such exceptions as required by law.
