Headquartered in Bergen, NY, Liberty Pumps is a leading U.S. manufacturer of pumping products for ground water and wastewater removal in residential and commercial applications. Liberty Pumps is a 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Inc. 5000 company and perennial Rochester Top 100 company, which designs and manufactures wastewater pumps and products, and specializes in pre-assembled systems. We are one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of residential and light commercial duty pumps in North America. A new 60,000 square foot factory was opened in 2001, and we just completed our second major expansion in 2016 which resulted in approximately 250,000 total square feet of production, R&D, and office space. We continue to add on, as we are in our 3rd phase of construction due for completion in 2022.

Summary of the Position
In this position, you must have the ability to assemble package sewage tank systems from engineered drawings and complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions. Candidate must also be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and carry up to 51lbs.
Qualification and Education Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other members of the organization.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, volume, and distance.

Experience/skills/abilities
· Performs bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies per work instructions, Bill of Materials and best practices.
· Demonstrate ability to use electronic and pneumatic tools to build product.
· Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Quality Department per defined reject process.
· Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition to 6S standards.
· Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment as required per PM Requirements

· Operates both stationary and moving overhead cranes as necessary.
· Operates hand pallet jack as necessary.
· Works at the directions of Department Supervisor and Team Leads.
· Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
· Participates in Team meetings and projects.
· Works effectively in a team environment.
· You will be expected to operate according to ISO 9001 requirements.
· Held responsible and accountable to follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean and
organized work area and use good safety judgement. Expected to report all unsafe
activities and conditions to Supervisor and/or Safety & Occupational Health Specialist.

Physical requirements
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
Working Conditions
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation. Moderate noise level.
