Job Posting for HRIS Support Specialist at Liberty University
The HRIS Support Specialist plays a vital role in enabling Liberty University to optimize the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM)/HRIS system and create business value. The HRIS Support Specialist will serve as front line production support for Workday & other HR systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support system maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and provide support to end users & HR staff utilizing HR technologies.
Train university stakeholders on HR business processes, technologies, and best practices.
Create, audit, and maintain documentation and training materials of HR systems both for internal stakeholders and material made externally on the HR website.
Manage and respond to ServiceNow tickets for security permissions and issues for HR technologies.
Participate in regular data management activities to ensure HR data is clean and usable by downstream processes.
Maintain a hands-on, technical role with excellent knowledge of human resources business processes and data.
Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
Strong customer service ability
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or comparable program.
At least 1 year working with Workday HCM Systems
Experience in Human Resources Operations
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information.
Ability to craft training materials and documentation in a way that makes material digestible to non-technical users.

Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University to a variety of business, government and community customers and associates.
