Purpose
The Great Bay Solar facility consists of numerous photovoltaic (“PV”) solar module arrays which are broken up into four (4) distinct sites, numbered 1, 3, 4, and 6 with a total land area of ~430acres.
Accountabilities
Grounds management program - perform vegetation management activities both manual and mechanical as well as general civil duties such as maintaining roadways and trails, inspection\repair of perimeter security fencing and inspection and maintenance of onsite building facilities.- Environmental Programs – monitor, inspect and record site conditions per the storm water management program and the LPCo Great Bay Solar environmental site procedure. This will require the successful candidate to obtain a Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) erosion and sediment control certificate.
- General – Provide assistance to Plant Manager during routine (monthly, quarterly, and annual) inspections and condition assessments of electrical and mechanical facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshooting & Corrective Actions – Under the supervision of the plant manager assist in the execution of troubleshooting and small repairs.
- Assist the Plant Manager with inventory control and movement of material on/off site.
- Additional Duties may include the supervision of 3rd party labor.
- During all tasks the candidate must adhere to the LPCo safety manual and all relevant site safety procedures and participate in required safety training.
- Perform JSA prior to each task
- Perform inspections with Supervisor
- Champion the companies safety policy by adhering to it and supporting other companies by sharing it and its values.
- Troubleshoot and assist with minor repairs within the Solar sites with supervision.
- Assist with monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections of facitly and its equipment along with supervision.
- Assist with Annual and Semi-Annual Inverter Inspections
- Perform NPDES Inspections
Education and Experience
High school diploma- Understanding of solar facility operations
- Ability to make quick decisions and use good judgment
- Knowledge and understanding of corporate and industry safety standards and practices
