The Grove by the River is seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Event Manager to join our team and deliver exceptional event experiences. Pay: $40,000 Year plus bonus.
Schedule: 40 Hours scheduled around events, evenings and weekends required.

Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries, Inc., is an established, local non-profit, with a retail footprint in Licking and Knox Counties. We currently have nine brick and mortar retail locations, an e-commerce site, and a used car lot in our portfolio along with an unmatched reputation for operational excellence. Our mission is to provide training, employment, and support services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
Job Description: As a Banquet Event Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning and oversight of operations at The Grove. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision and coordinate with our in-house team to bring that vision to life. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure will be crucial to the success of our events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
- Create detailed event proposals, including budgets, timelines, and floor plans.
- Supervise the setup, service, and breakdown of events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Manage and lead event staff, ensuring everyone is well-trained and motivated.
- Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during events or reservations, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Conduct post-event / reservation evaluations to gather feedback and make necessary improvements for future events.
- Ensure events and park reservations are in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards.
- Pass standard background check.
- Proven experience as a Banquet Event Manager or similar role.
- Knowledge of bartending and liquor laws.
- SERVSafe Manager Certification. (May be obtained after employment.)
