JOB OVERVIEW:
Responsible for administration of Marketing Department, working hand in hand with Director of Marketing. Responsible for various aspects of strategic marketing and events planning, liaising with Membership, Sales, F&B, and Spa departments, handling creative promotions and programming, and managing online assets including website, listings, and communications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in overseeing property events. Handle pre-event planning, invitations, guest list, contracts, event management, and recaps.
- Serve as contact person for programming/pop-up inquiries and oversee third-party photo shoot requests.
- Work as liaison with Public Relations agency, Corporate Marketing team, and Membership team.
- Ensuring that website, social media, and online listings are updated and maintained. Uploading event and promotion creative onto various media channels.
- Promote hotel specials and packages via email blasts and other communication channels. Coordinate e-marketing, brand and marketing initiatives.
- Assist Human Resources with internal marketing or collateral requests.
- Submit relevant invoices to Accounting for timely payment to vendors pertaining to Marketing department.
- Help cultivate promotional events and contacts while serving as a liaison for marketing components of city-wide relationships and brand partnerships.
- Assist in the creative process of company collateral. Responsible for monitoring corporate approval process for all collateral design. (Working knowledge of design programs such as Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop)
- Update monthly calendar, e-blasts, promotions, newsletter and creative requests for regular and onetime events. Lead promotional efforts for all property events.
- Assist in discovering new brands as potential retail opportunities for hotel boutique and partners that are well aligned with brand.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in similar position or customer service experience.
- College Degree or in process of completing Undergraduate Degree
- Some managerial and supervisory skills.
- Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.
- Work well under pressure, attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of client/guest information and pertinent hotel data.
- Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of latest trends and happenings related to art, music, fashion and design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Adobe programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photo Shop.
DESIRABLE:
- Marketing, Public Relations or Mass Communication Degree.
- Experience with computers and design programs.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language.
- Previous customer service training.
- Previous experience in hospitality industry.
- Events and Food and Beverage.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Periodical bending, kneeling, standing and stretching is required.
- Pull, push, move, carry and lift at least 10 pounds of force is required.
- Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
- Occasionally kneeling, sitting, crouching and climbing.
5. Must be able to hear and speak clearly to communicate with guests and co-workers.
WORK AREA: Executive Office and all areas of the hotel.
