The Director of Partnerships is primarily responsible for building systems and processes to evaluate, support, and expand the thousands of existing partnerships while creating innovative ways to build automation and leverage tools to maintain these relationships. This role will also lead a team of Partnerships Managers. The Director of Partnerships is responsible for collaborating with their team leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further YouVersion’s mission.

What You'll Do
  • Build strategic partnerships that result in the creation of content that meets the needs (geographic, demographic, topical, and theological) of diverse sets of people.
  • Lead team to design and implement effective systems to appropriately onboard, train, oversee, and develop strong relationships with partnerships.
  • Design expectations around exceptional service for our contacts and monitor contact engagement; maintain high engagement from our contacts.
  • Oversee the management of contract accounts dedicated to leading teams in diverse languages and/or manage relationships with major publishers to ensure consistency and execution.
  • Develop clear systems and processes that streamline the review and approval of partnership content.
  • Strategically leverage high-level contractors and volunteers to duplicate systems in other languages while balancing team independence and autonomy.
  • Create a cadence and/or process for the evaluation of content performance; when necessary, identify and remove low-quality content from the YouVersion Platform.
  • Lead team to create scalable documentation and training as needed and translate training to increase partner-to-partner support across various languages.
  • Drive collaboration with product teams, MarCom, and other related teams to equip the content partnership team with the best internal tools and processes that move toward automation and efficiency.
  • Set marketing expectations with partners, including marketing within their network to grow user engagement within the Bible App.
  • Ensure the growth and development of the Content Team, supporting them personally, professionally, and spiritually.
  • Lead team to design and implement effective systems to appropriately onboard, train, oversee, and develop contractors and volunteers around the world.


Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3-5 years of related experience.
