What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Leader position at Life.Church?

The Office Leader is primarily responsible for the logistical support for the Central Group Leader and the Financial Operations Group (FOG). This role is responsible for collaborating with their leader to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the FOG leadership group so they can give their time and energy to the things that matter most.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all FOG staff to better anticipate and understand needs.
  • Advocate on behalf of FOG leaders and team members.
  • Regularly meet with FOG Directors to influence direction, speak into development, and represent the FOG leadership group.
  • Plan events, off-sites, meeting preparation, calendar and inbox management, expense reporting, and travel planning for the FOG leadership group.
  • Lead FOG Operations and direct report to successful outcomes of team and organization initiatives.
  • Oversee and support the interview and screening processes.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations with the team and organizational situations.
  • Partner with FOG team members and leaders to provide leadership, perspective, and administrative support.
  • Onboard new staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Recruit and maintain volunteers and interns, including communication, appreciation, and team coordination.
  • Train and communicate efficiently and effectively, both internally and externally, by providing agendas and content to support various audiences.

Skills Needed To Succeed

  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
  • Skilled in attentive listening, adept at fully engaging with others to grasp their perspectives, needs, and inquiries, facilitating effective communication, and fostering positive professional relationships.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience.
