Life Strategies, LLC, an established and growing Behavioral Health Agency is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Therapist who enjoys working with a wide range of behavioral issues for clients with developmental disabilities, including autism and intellectual disabilities. Thorough training is provided for this position. With diverse clientele and a fun, family-focused team, Life Strategies offers a culture of support and training in an agency setting that is focused on providing effective therapy to clients and an environment where therapists can collaborate and grow professionally.

Competitive salary with additional earnings opportunities, commensurate with experience and geographic region. This is a full-time salary position with benefits. This position offers a flexible schedule with the ability to work in office, home and community settings. Providing services in the client’s home or day program is a requirement of the position. This position serves the Lake County area.

Qualifications:

Applicants MUST have a Master’s Degree in one of the following areas:

• Social Work
• Counseling
• Marriage and Family Therapist
• Clinical psychology, counseling psychology, or another applied Health Services area of Psychology
• Special education

Position Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position include providing behavioral consultation services to clients with developmental disabilities through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver Program.

We are looking for an individual who:

• Enjoys working with special needs populations (children – adults)
• Meets with clients on a consistent basis
• Is prompt with paperwork completion
• Will complete assessments, observations, and develop Behavior Support Plans
• Is comfortable consulting with and training caregivers or staff on Behavior Support Plans
• Is flexible and easily adapts to new situations
• Is dependable and reliable
• Is professional and positive
• Works well with larger systems and as a team
• Possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills

• Pass all background checks
• 3 references
• Negative TB & Drug screening
• Copies of resume, driver's license, diplomas, transcripts, licenses/certifications, and other supporting documentation
